The girl who communicated with
Gamera is believed to be 14 year old
Asagi Kusanagi of Tokyo.
Her father is Naoya Kusanagi, an
insurance investigator for the Kyushu
Marine Insurance Company and a
member of the survey team sent to
investigate the collision between the
plutonium transport ship Kairyu Maru
which a mysterious moving atoll
damaged the ship.
Upon investigation of the atoll
several metal artifacts were discovered,
such as the one pictured.
Also a large carved monolith
was discovered, but disintegrated
when it was touched. The atoll
disintegrated soon after revealing
Gamera.
Some believe the mental artifacts
are key to communicating with
Gamera. However, scientists cannot
determine why.
